### BLOCKED SINUS ###

The patient has been sick with a sinus infection and underwent a total of 24 days of antibiotics. The last treatment was a 14 day course of Augmentin. According to Xrays the sinus infection had resolved. Patient has been very fatigued. NOT experiencing any symptoms of active allergies. Patient has not been running a fever but has lost 5 pounds in one week and seen a rise in BP. Also, patient has tenderness in the abdomen and a pain under the left rib.

Total WBC count was high but the relative abundance of individual WBC components wasn’t as expected. Basophils were the 2nd most numerous. No eosinophils and lymphocytes were low (12%).

Any ideas?

Here’s a very simple question. Im trying to eliminate possible things and doing research on my own.

My concern is… I’ve been getting headaches for 8 months (mild usually, just became severe now). Can sinusitis last for 8 months CONSTANT , with no ups and downs, from morning to night the headache feels the same. And for these 8 past months of mild headache, ive NEVER had a runny nose or sneezing, its only blocked.

Whats sinusitis like? Does it seem i have sinusitis or not at all? I also got an MRI, MRA, CAT scan, XRAY done (but not specifically for sinuses, just for my headaches) and they said everything was “normal”
Also, what are the chances of me having sinusitis and not having any congestion for 8 months? I remember being to the ENT and he checked my nose and hand-felt my upper neck area for congestion and he said theres none. Is it possible to have sinusitis and be clear?

I am 13 years old and I have really bad “alergies”.I get really bad sinus problems were at times I cant breath at all through my noise and my voice sounds very nasally and weird. This is a problem because I am in a lot of theater and singing stuff. When my nose is”stuffy” like this I try to blow it but hardly anything ever comes out and my ears usually painfully pop. Even though there is nothing that comes out of my nose whenever I breathe in real hard I get tons of phlem and mucus in my throat. When I look in my nose allI can see is what looks like 2 swollen glands on either side that are bright red and blocking my airway of my nose. My grandma says that these are my adnoids. Is this true? If so, Should I see a doctor and/or get them removed? If I get those removes will they take out my tonsils too?

I have been feeling sick since beginning of Feb. It simply started out as a hay fever (Seasonal allergy) which I go through it every year…….but this year, I just can not seeme to get better and it bas been over 2 month now. I suffered sinus infection was put on antibiotic, etc. Have aches and pain which is not an allergy symptom. I have been going from doctors to doctors, Acupuncture, ….Doctor told me there is nothing wrong, mean time my ears pops, has stuffy nose, can not breathe, comes and goes……..light headed, head pressure. I was on Flonaise, Allegra-D, and Singluair combo, now I am no homepoaty and NAET treatment, done some herb,……..but just can not get better.

I have a cold/flu, and one of my ears has become blocked. I can’t hear from it at all. I’ve seen a doctor, and they said to chew gum until it drains. The gum isn’t working, and in the meanwhile, I’m very dizzy and having problems hearing. It is not painful or infected. It is fluid behind the eardrum, not ear wax. I’ve taken a few sinus pills, and tried breathing steam, but nothing has worked. Are there any other things I can try?
