Parenting Advice for a 5 year old who tells another 5 year old that he is going to buy a shotgun and ?
shoot his parents because he is mad no one will sit next to him because he has a runny nose….He told the principal that he was just joking so apparently he is aware that it is not for real… however… he knows as punishment he will not be getting any toy guns for Christmas as he wanted…In pre-school the year before he watched spider man I. The part where the villian tells his son the way to get to spider man is to hurt the ones he loves…My son told a little boy the next day he was fighting with over blocks he was going to kill his mother…. He did not say it again for a whole year and 1/2 … apparently my son was really angry both times…I have taken him to the doctor and gotten antibiotics for his sinus and his behavior has improved so obviously he was not feeling well either….what else can I do …. to help my son control his anger…and frustrations…I have told him repeatedly that there are some things we do not say because words can hurt too….
